愛知県出身。ヤマハ音楽教室(日響楽器)にて学び、愛知県立明和高校音楽科を経て、東京音楽大学ピアノ演奏家コースを首席で卒業し、同大学大学院を特別特待奨学生として修了。それまでに、遠藤誠津子、長谷川淳、後藤康孝、清水皇樹、鈴木弘尚、武田真理、故野島稔の各氏に師事。その後はイタリアのイモラ国際ピアノアカデミーにて、Leonid Margarius, Ingrid Fliterの各氏に師事。
ピティナ・ピアノコンペティション特級銀賞及び王子ホール賞受賞した後、国外ではショパン国際ピアノコンクールでの2nd stageディプロマやA. Casagrande国際ピアノコンクール(イタリア)特別賞の他、Campillos国際ピアノコンクール(スペイン) とPremio Alkan国際ピアノコンクール(イタリア) の両コンクールで優勝を果たす。
演奏活動の場は幅広く、国内ではラ・フォル・ジュルネ・オ・ジャポンや読売新聞社主催第86回新人演奏会をはじめ、数多くのコンサートに出演。また近年はイタリアをはじめとして、スペイン、ポーランドやフランスなど、ヨーロッパ各地でもリサイタルを行っている。
2023年より2R Studio Multimedia Production と専属アーティスト契約し、2024年2R Digital Classicsより1stアルバム「my favorite Chopin」を発売。現在は同レーベルの音楽監督も兼任している。
2025年よりヤマハアーティスト。
Mayaka Nakagawa is a Yamaha Artist, born in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture, who graduated first on the list from Tokyo University of Music through a special scholarship for granted students and went on to complete her master’s degree in piano performance as a scholarship student. There she has studied with Hironao Suzuki, Mari Takeda, and Minoru Nojima.
During her study in Japan, she has obtained national and international awards, such as the 2nd prize and special prize at the 38th PTNA Competition in Japan and the Second Stage Diploma at the 17th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Poland.
After coming to Europe, she has been at the Imola International Piano Academy in Italy under the guidance of M° Ingrid Fliter and M° Leonid Margarius. And she has won many prizes at various international competitions, including a special prize at the prestigious 32nd Alessandro Casagrande Competition in Italy, the 1st prize and Orchestra prize at the 13th Campillos International Competition in Spain, and the Alkan Prize for Romantic Piano Virtuosity 2023.
She has already given concerts widely in various countries, such as Italy, Spain, Poland, and Japan, and also in international festivals, including the International Piano Festival in Nateczów, Poland, La Folle Journee TOKYO, and the Cremona Music Festival in Italy.
Since 2023 she has been the “Resident Pianist in 2R Studio” and has also been appointed as a supervisor for 2R Multimedia Production Studio.
